About the practice
Zohar Steg placing an acupuncture needle with a client at the practice

My name is Zohar

I am a qualified acupuncturist and therapist in Chinese medicine with some 28 years of clinical experience (since 1998). Alongside my work in the practice, I have gained a great deal of experience over the years in teaching and training therapists. I bring that knowledge into my diagnoses and treatments every day, which helps to turn in-depth theory into practical solutions.

In my practices in Amsterdam and Nijmegen I deliberately choose to work exclusively one-on-one. This approach gives me the space to give you the full attention you deserve: really listening, getting to the core of the problem and matching the recovery process to your own pace.

In 2019 I developed the IPRA123 method (Immediate Pain Relief Acupuncture). This is a unique technique that combines manual treatment and targeted acupuncture, with a focus on opening and relaxing the fascia.

My work focuses mainly on treating chronic muscle and joint pain, as well as easing stress, anxiety and low mood. The combination of these two areas comes from the insight that physical pain and mental tension reinforce each other: prolonged stress causes the body to tighten up, while chronic pain leads to mental exhaustion. By addressing both aspects at the same time, there is room for deep and lasting recovery.

The treatments are results-oriented and measurable. The aim is to achieve noticeable change, pain reduction and more calm from the very first sessions.

I would be glad to hear from you – whether you have been living with pain or stress for a long time, or are simply curious about what my approach could mean for you.

Kind regards,
Zohar
